Frequently Asked Questions

Most therapy sessions will be scheduled weekly on a certain day and at a certain time. This ensures both of us will be available for the service. I know it can be incredibly difficult with our fast-paced lives to always remember your child's therapy session. If therapy is being delivered in the home and no one is there when I arrive, you will be charged the full amount. I am a parent, so I understand when sickness comes up, and you have to cancel. In that case, please let me know as soon as possible. You will be allowed 2 no-shows before a 50% payment will be incurred. A fee will be charged if frequent no-shows occur.

Please call or text as soon as possible. If I can reschedule, I will.

A referral would be helpful but is not required. As part of my practice, I feel it is very important to communicate with the pediatrician, any other doctors you may want me to be in touch with, as well as any current SLPs, OTs, PTs, or educators at your child’s school.

You have a choice of either in-home or in-office; however, to use medical insurance, therapy has to be provided in-office. Also, an extra fee will be assessed for in-home therapy to account for travel.

Yes, I will be conducting a 60–90-minute evaluation to determine whether therapy is appropriate. Towards the end of the assessment, we will discuss our findings and make recommendations. If it is determined that your child would benefit from speech/language therapy, and you are interested in using my services, a day and time will be set for the first therapy session!
